Volunteers at The Greater Boston Food Bank play a critical role in helping to end hunger in Eastern Massachusetts, and their role is even more critical now given the increased need for food as a result of the pandemic. GBFB is committed to keeping our network in operation and getting food to our neighbors in need but we can’t do that without you.
Face masks are optional inside GBFB facilities and on the property.
Monday – Friday: 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 3:30 pm
For those interested in volunteering at GBFB, please complete the form below.
We accept a limited number of volunteers completing community service hours. Each individual is evaluated on a case by case basis. Please include the reason for your required hours in your email. Due to limited capacity within our volunteer program, we are unable to accept court-mandated volunteers.
Boston Cares is partnering with GBFB to provide centralized volunteer recruitment and coordination to meet the emerging needs of our network of partner hunger-relief agencies, including food pantries, community meal programs and other food assistance providers throughout the nine counties and 190 towns and cities across Eastern Massachusetts.
