Thanks to the crew at WAAF, their listeners raised over $110,000 – enough for over 330,000 healthy meals – during last week’s Rock for Change!
Last Wednesday through Friday, Greg “Hill-Man” Hill stayed on-air from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily – joining Mike Hsu and Mistress Carrie for their regular shows – to help raise hunger-relief funds.

Greg pledged to play ANY song for the right price, and WAAF listeners came through. Over three days, the station played a huge variety of artists, from Rhianna to Glen Miller and Barry Manilow to Drake. For a complete list of songs played, go to www.waaf.com/rockforchange.

WAAF listeners also donated by text and online in greater numbers than in past years, pushing the total to its highest ever! Over the last 25 years, WAAF’s Rock for Change has raised nearly $2 million towards our efforts to end hunger, and this year was another great success, said Catherine D’Amato, president and CEO of The Greater Boston Food Bank.
“This year’s ‘Rock for Change’ was outstanding. WAAF raised over $110,000, which is the equivalent of more than 330,000 healthy meals for people in need. Thank you to WAAF and your loyal listeners for playing your role in ending hunger in our community.” said D’Amato.
