Thanks to our amazing supporters, this year’s Hunger Action Month was the best yet! With the Prudential Center and Zakim Bridge going orange and thousands of plate selfies posted on social media, we are proud of our community for helping spread the word about hunger in Eastern Massachusetts.
Check out some of this month’s highlights!
In September, people across the country took a plate, wrote what they can’t do on an empty stomach, and posted it on social media. Thanks to everyone who participated!

On Hunger Action Day, we Flipped the Switch at the Prudential Center to light up the city in orange on behalf of those in need! Thank you to the Pru, and also to TD Garden and the Zakim Bridge, for changing your lights to spread awareness of hunger in our community.

During our Women Fighting Hunger event, we honored Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito for her efforts to #EndHungerHere in the Commonwealth. Thank you to all of our Women Fighting Hunger who came together to respond to the challenge of hunger in our community! Together, we raised enough to provide well over 465,000 nutritious meals to those in need.
