Garelick Farms is Helping GBFB Get to One Meal A Day

Garelick Farms has been a valued food partner of The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) since 2004, and became the first sponsor of our Kids Cafe program in 2005. Garelick Farms provides enough single serve milks for each meal and donations have kept pace with the growth of the program, now serving balanced meals to approximately 1,000 children a day, 5 days a week. For this, we recognize Garelick as part of the Kids Cafe “Heroes Club”, a select group of generous and dedicated local food manufacturers who donate healthy products to provide meals to at risk children. Over the course of our partnership, Garelick Farms has expanded their support to include a variety of options, including juice, cream and all flavors and sizes of milk. Milk is an extremely valuable and needed product at member agencies, and is otherwise a very difficult item for them to source. In addition, Garelick made a generous financial contribution to our capital campaign Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope, and for the past 2 years has provided orange juice as an in-kind donation for Super Hunger Brunch, an annual GBFB event. Garelick Farms’ commitment to hunger relief and their continued support of GBFB helps us in our mission to provide one meal a day to those in need.
