The Boston Bruins Foundation Helps End Hunger

On January 21, as the Boston Bruins took on the Winnipeg Jets, GBFB volunteers and team members were at TD Garden selling tickets for the 50/50 raffle. Fans were out in full force, and the raffle resulted in enough funds for GBFB to provide 11,276 meals for those in need. The Boston Bruins Foundation has been a valued partner to GBFB since 2007. GBFB was given the opportunity to participate in the 50/50 raffle after receiving a grant for our School-based Pantry program, which provides fresh, healthy food to children and families in need. In addition, the Boston Bruins Foundation has supported GBFB’s Banquet, provided in-kind donations, and volunteered at several events and direct service programs, including Kids Cafe and Chain of Giving.
