GBFB offers a customized volunteer experience that creates a unique engagement opportunity for your organization while helping to end hunger in our community. We have an experienced team who will work together with your organization to plan the perfect project for your employees, clients or conference. We have developed custom opportunities for local and national companies like Fidelity, Dunkin’ Brands, Citizens Bank, and SunLife, creating meaningful and fun team-building events that leave everyone knowing they made a positive impact in helping us end hunger in Eastern Massachusetts.
GBFB will bring a project that is fun and meaningful to your site. The project usually involves packing bags of nutritious food for children, seniors or families. Each project is designed to create a lot of impact in a short amount of time, while also ensuring a group can have lots of fun.
Prior to the event, our staff will conduct a site visit to discuss the needs of your organization. We identify the best project space and collaborate with you on the best timing and set up. On the day of the event, our truck delivers the food to your site of choice, our team unloads the truck and sets up the project, provides an overview of GBFB and those who benefit from our services, and conducts a brief training. We then guide the group through the project and close with a celebration and group photos to show what the group has accomplished. Our staff breaks down the project, and our trucks bring the finished bags back to GBFB. We make it very easy for our partners!
Our past off-sites have ranged from 50 to 1,500 people. A typical off-site project is about 100 people completing 2,000 bags over the course of one hour. We can provide floor plans and more detailed information upon request. We request a donation to GBFB to cover the costs of this project.
