Harvesters Circle

The Harvesters Circle is a generous and dedicated group of individuals who play a critical role in sustaining our mission to end hunger in Eastern Massachusetts.
Harvesters Circle
Harvesters Circle members participate in a Kids Who Care sorting event, in which children as young as 10 are invited to volunteer with their families.

Harvesters Circle members give $1,000 or more annually and receive special acknowledgement, as well as opportunities to come together to learn how GBFB is putting their generous donations to work in our efforts to provide at least One Meal a Day to those in need. Join us.

Kids Who Care at GBFB
Friday, March 24 | 9:30am – 12:00pm
Offered during private school vacation, this Kids Who Care program allows children to volunteer alongside family and friends, bagging and boxing food for children, seniors and veterans at risk of hunger in eastern Massachusetts. Children 10+ are welcome to attend with proper adult supervision. Free parking is available. GBFB is located at 70 South Bay Avenue, Boston.

Volunteer at the Pearl Street Cupboard & Cafe
Tuesday, March 28 | 5:00 – 8:00pm
Serve as wait-staff at The Pearl St. Café, a GBFB Member Agency. The Pearl St. Café is open for dinner every Tuesday and Thursday night, regularly serving 400 meals per week. Volunteers work as wait-staff serving guests a freshly prepared three-course restaurant-style meal and participate in an after dinner clean-up. Children 8+ are welcome to attend with proper adult supervision. Free parking is available. The Pearl Street Cafe is located at 46 Park St., Framingham, MA 01702.

Volunteer at the Jamaica Plain Mobile Market
Wednesday, April 5 | 4:00 – 6:30pm
Mobile Markets enable GBFB to deliver high-quality, perishable food directly to partner sites in order to reach isolated communities and populations at high-risk of hunger. This food is brought in on our refrigerated trucks and set up on tables in the style of a farmers market. Volunteers assist with all aspects of unloading, set up, distribution, and breakdown. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Volunteers under 18 require an adult chaperone. The Jamaica Plain Mobile Market is located at 200 Heath Street in Jamaica Plain.
