The Kitchen Cabinet is a group of greater Boston-area professionals dedicated to ending hunger in our community. Since 2005, the group has engaged friends, colleagues and neighbors to raise awareness and funding through a series of signature events and special volunteer opportunities.
Kitchen Cabinet Step Into Summer
Let's kick off summer in style! Join us at the Rooftop at Revere Hotel for a summer evening with stunning views of the city. Bid on silent auction items while sipping cocktails and watching the latest trends float down the runway. Every $1 raised through the auction will help The Greater Boston Food Bank provide three nutritious meals to families in need in eastern Massachusetts.

Kitchen Cabinet Chairs
Sarah Biller is the President of Capital Market Exchange, a Boston-based provider of Bond Pricing intelligence to the Institutional Investor and Hedge Fund industries. She has spent much of her career building networks of executives, enabling them to address common challenges and improve their performance. Prior to Capital Market Exchange, Ms. Biller worked for Fidelity Investments and held responsibility for the analytic process to renew the firm’s major contracts with the fund’s Board of Trustees. Ms. Biller has also been a Principal in the launch of several successful start-ups, including Cambridge Healthtech Advisors, and worked on MCI’s corporate ventures and analysis team. She also held multiple roles at the Corporate Executive Board launching and leading best practices research programs for corporate finance and treasury executives at Fortune 500 companies.
Ms. Biller is also actively involved in numerous Boston-based charities. She is an enthusiastic member of the GBFB Kitchen Cabinet and strong supporter of the Women Fighting Hunger initiative. In addition, she is the Treasurer of the Nichols House Museum Board Directors and an immediate past Governor of the National Museum of Women in the Arts - MA State Committee. Ms. Biller sits on the Gala and Admissions Committees for The Vincent Club and is a Sustainer member of the Junior League of Boston.
Ms. Biller completed studies in finance at Harvard University, George Washington University and West Virginia University.
In addition to her professional focus and work with the GBFB Kitchen Cabinet, Hannah sits on the Boston Book Festival Board of Directors, is a member and former President of the Junior League of Boston, she serves as a Wish Volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and is a member of The Junto Group. Hannah is a native Bostonian, and is a graduate of Northeastern University and Suffolk University, both in Boston, MA.
Kirby Lunger is a Principal in, and leads sales, marketing and alliances for, Performance Architects, a business and technology consulting company that partners with clients to initiate and sustain significant improvements in enterprise performance using a blend of technical, functional and industry-specific expertise. Kirby has over 16 years of experience in the consulting, internet services, and software markets at organizations including Gomez (now Compuware), Painted Word (now Palladium Group), Palladium Group, and R.B. Webber & Company / The Entrepreneurs' Fund. Kirby holds a B.A. from Yale University with Honors in Philosophy and Political Science. She is a frequent presenter at industry events and writes for groups such as Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), BeyeNetwork, ComputerWorld, Enterprise Systems, Information Management, NICSA, and The Data Warehousing Institute, as well as local and national Oracle events such as the Northeast Regional Higher Education Users Group (NERHEUG).
Kirby is also very involved in causes related to the health and education of women and children, with a specific focus on nutrition, reading and literacy, and domestic violence and food insecurity prevention. She is an active volunteer in multiple organizations related to these causes and has served on the boards of several regional and national nonprofit organizations.
Kitchen Cabinet Step Into Summer
Every June, we celebrate the end of a cold New England winter and Step Into Summer with the Kitchen Cabinet.
This year's Step Into Summer event, held on June 12, 2012 at the Courtyard at CLINK, The Liberty Hotel, raised nearly $14,000, enough money to provide more than 30,000 meals for those in need across eastern Massachusetts. Read our recap of Step Into Summer.

We are always looking for sponsors who are interested in supporting the efforts of the Kitchen Cabinet and The Greater Boston Food Bank. Kitchen Cabinet events attract Boston area professionals primarily in their 30s and 40s, representing a variety of industry sectors. Past event venues include Harpoon Brewery, Museum of Science, Shreve, Crump & Low, and Woodward at the Ames Hotel.
