Massachusetts Legislature Approves FY19 Budget – MEFAP Funded at $18M

Today, the Legislature approved the FY19 state budget, funding the Massachusetts Emergency Food Assistance Program (MEFAP) at $18 million. Now, Governor Baker has 10 days to approve and sign the FY19 budget into law.

Thank you for all your advocacy in the budget process so far!

We need your continued support to ensure MEFAP remains funded at $18M.

TAKE ACTION:

  • Contact Governor Baker’s office (617-725-4005) to voice your support for MEFAP. The line item for MEFAP is DAR 2511-0105.
  • You can also call your state legislators and ask them to urge Governor Baker to support MEFAP at $18 million.
  • Find your state Representative and Senator here.
